The Future of Driving with Volvo Cars

Graphic Design
Project Overview
Volvo is a car company who's values are truly rooted in safety, and I had the privilege of learning quite a lot about their design process during my two years in their prestigious remote design studio, where the basis of their approach to autonomous driving was being formed.

The nature of the business working with a company that likes to keep a tight lip about their research is that I can't share the multitude of designs I created. Please enjoy the end product, and brilliantly told story of C26 with the heads of the VMCC studio in 2015, embedded below.
My Contributions
I was brought onboard Volvo's C26 project to contribute in the research, design, and technical patenting process for Volvo's autonomous driving technology, in the role of UX Designer— the only one in the building! My deliverables ranged from participating in research interviews with influencers about their expectations for autonomous driving, and of course a flood of design concepts for how a driver would interact with an autonomous vehicle. I also designed and prepared our massive print files to be displayed on the studio floor for executive review.

A major consideration for the project was...What would you do with the average 26 minute commute time if you didn't have to drive?

And thus... the impetus of my obsession with seeing time in new ways. Those obsessions are finding a home at Sol Forms, Inc.
