Sol Forms — It's about TIME

Concept + Design
Project Overview
As the doors at Thor Technologies were coming to a close, I knew I had to give myself the chance to take what I had learned and drive my own company. I founded Sol Forms in March 2019 with a mission to empower people with ownership of their personal data in a way they had never experienced before.

Innovation takes time. And I no longer believe in the lone creative genius. It takes a community of people who care deeply about a thing in order for a compelling and innovative brand to take flight.
My Contributions
My first time officially in the driver seat of a corporation, the burden of clarifying a vision, mission, purpose, product, and brand was on me.
I was blessed with several incredible support brains that I would not and could not have started this operation without.
With my primary skillset being in visual communication, it took over a year of expressing product concepts and business plans in a continuous stream of Keynote presentations, product designs, and website iterations to find an entry to market that our team was uniquely suited to deliver on.

Looking back on my year of iterations, I did what Designers do...we create OPTIONS for clients. Learning to be CEO and make big decisions fast  is a work in progress for me.

Below, I've included a small sample of our product ideations and ways to communicate them.
Sol id
Brand Designer
Apr 2014 - Mar 2015
From some of the earliest mockups, the concept of a 'Sol id' was present. One of the core insights I designed around for this company was that blockchain technology was more about secure access to a network than it was about money. Hence, a digital identity that would be your secure data storage, in a way that you could exchange information was what we were aiming for from day one.

We wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to start importing data from existing services, such as the major social networks, in addition to the stuff your mobile phone can natively track for you. Owning this data is how giant corporations like Facebook and Google make money. We feel that people should have the opportunity to make money from their own data, through a more direct relationship with their favorite brands.
There are several ways to look at 'The Problem'. Exhibit #1: The AD Model
Problem Exhibit #2: Digital cllutter distracts us from our priorities. We don't have conrol of our data or a way to secure it. Our attention is stolen from us and sold against us.
The Solutions:
Another way to look at the Solution: WIN-WIN for People and Brands. Create an always-on customer insights engine where both brands and people benefit from the exchange of data.
