YGod Book illustrations

Digital publishing + Illustration
Project Overview
Back when I was wandering the halls of Gospel Light, one of two resident graphic designers designing children's Sunday School curriculum — I was given an opportunity for some extracurricular freelance work. Danielle D'Souza, daughter of author and film-maker, Dinesh D'Souza, was publishing her her first book. I was asked if I could provide some lively illustrations to further engage readers in a 'New Yorker' style, and of course I said 'Absolutely'.
My Contributions
I delivered 34 custom illustrations, drawn on a second generation iPad. Back then the stylus' weren't nearly as accurate or pressure sensitive as the Apple pencil is today — but it got the job done!

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.
